The Mythological Nightmare of Hoof & Antler

Good Evening Ladies & Gentlemen...
Please welcome,
the mythological nightmare of...
Hoof & Antler!!!

BIOGRAPHY

HOOF & ANTLER are interested in exploring the relationship between music, performance and visual imagery, creating live performances that build dynamically, with a temporal awareness and a layering of multiple sonic and visual images, shifting musically between subtle underscoring ambient drones into obnoxious climaxes.

Hoof & Antler have recently composed My Name Is Brian Brown, Don't Throw You're Fucking Spears At Me! for Alice Topp’s Trace for the Australian Ballet’s Bodytorque 2010: à la Mode.

Hoof & Antler have also recently curated The Waste Land, a new media performance and experimental music evening for Tiny Stadiums Festival 2010, collaborating with four musical ensembles and video artist Emmanuala Prigionni. A full version of The Waste Land was recently performed and recorded solely by Hoof & Anntler at Megaphon Studios, Sydney.

The ensemble currently consists of Travis ‘Katoomba’ Hoof (laptop, guitar, words/voices, video), James Brown (laptop, piano, Kaos, xylophone), Mitchell Ray Antler (drums, percussion), Samuel Pettigrew (Bass) and Luke ‘Little’ Tipene (live art).
